From Luxor we traveled to The Valley of the Kings. This is where of the Egyptian Kings of the New Kingdom (1550-1070BC) were buried. Remember, BC dates count down, not up, ending in zero. Walls and ceilings were decorated with elaborate carvings and paintings. I assume telling the life history of the king buried there.
Entry into the tomb went from section to section, each connected by an elaborate hallway. Remember this was all dug into a granite hillside.
