The Kingdom of Jordan

Abu Simbel

The temples at Abu Simbel were also rescued from the rising waters of Lake Nasser.  This 40 million dollar effort resulted in the temples being cut into manageable size blocks and mode to a location 200 feet higher and reassembled. It is almost impossible to tell that they were moved.  More information on the amazing site … Read more

Temple of Hatslepsut

This Mortuary Temple constructed by Hatslepsut was located in a separate valley near the Valley of the Kings.
